My path to becoming a filmmaker began when I started documenting my journey as an MMA fighter in Dublin, Ireland in 2015. I shot ‘vlogs’ on my phone & uploaded them to Youtube in an effort to better promote myself.

When I stopped fighting in 2018 & felt like I had lost my ‘identity’ in a sense, I asked a friend of mine who was an accomplished filmmaker if I could shadow him on some shoots to learn a bit more about how to tell a great story.

I devoted myself to the art form for a few years & after making my first short film in 2019, I really began to feel a sense of purpose & gratification around the idea of pursuing filmmaking as a career.

I started freelancing full time in 2020 and fully immersed myself in film. I made everything from short documentaries & music videos to comedy skits & wedding films. It was around this time too that I started developing my first feature documentary, ‘Beyond the Body’.

I moved to Adelaide, Australia in 2021 and continued to put my hand to anything I could in order to gain as much experience as possible & to explore who I really am as a filmmaker & what I want to put out into the world.

This is, of course, a continual process of unraveling & discovery, but as of right now, I feel my purpose is to create films centred around meaningful stories with the capacity to evoke positive mental, physical, spiritual, social & environmental change.

I feel that my role as a filmmaker is to serve as a catalyst for this change & I try to embody this in all the work that I do.
